DENVER, Jan. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Teton Energy Corporation ("Teton") (Amex: TEC - News) announced today the appointment of Ron Wirth to the position of Director of Investor Relations and Administration. Mr. Wirth will be responsible for all Investor Relations and administrative functions of Teton. The appointment is effective January 28, 2008.

Mr. Wirth has over seventeen years of investor relations experience in the energy business in Denver. He has developed strong relationships with energy analysts, institutional investors and other industry participants. Ron served as the Director of Investor Relations for Western Gas Resources, Inc. ("Western Gas") from 1990 until the company was sold to Anadarko Petroleum Corporation in 2006. During that time, Ron handled all financial communication activities, including investor, media and public relations, while being the main contact for Wall Street analysts, portfolio managers, stockbrokers, and individual investors. From 1990 through 1994, he also served as Treasurer of Western Gas, where he directed all corporate communications, cash management, credit and collections, risk management activities including insurance and bond programs, human resources and general administration of the company.
Mr. Wirth has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from the University of Illinois.
